Sour Bicycles began as a side project in 2018 by Chris Suesse, stemming from his work with e-bike systems at Binova in Germany. Due to the global supply chain issues caused by the pandemic, Sour moved its production in-house to a factory near Dresden, Germany, a project they call "Homebrew".
Allroad: All the kilometers, all the surfaces, allroad bikes are good for long days on all the “roads”.
Gravel: The adventure doesn’t start at the trailhead. Lightweight, fast, and capable, gravel bikes are ready for long days out with friends or solo, with camping gear or traveling light. We build the gravel bikes we’d want to ride, with all the capabilities needed for all types of adventures, big or small, with none of the bloat. Perfect.
Homebrew is our project name for on-shoring all of our frame production to our own facility in Saxony, Germany.
When we set out on this project, we didn’t even have a name for it, “Homebrew” came much later. When we set out, it didn’t need name, because we wereconvincedthat this was right move, and nearly a year further our efforts only continue to be confirmed. All of this spun out of a love for bikes, and a pile of steel tubing.
